Tai, a Woven Culture is a large format hard cover art book by photographer Hans Roels and Tai textile collector Napajaree Suanduenchai – a labour of love that was 25 years in the making.
Both Hans and Napajaree photographed and interviewed the different Tai subgroups spread out over Southeast Asia; from Thailand to Laos, northern Vietnam, South China and Myanmar to Assam in India to document the unique silk weaving culture that binds the different Tai groups together.
